Mike Bauman earned a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Public Administration from Southern Illinois University. He has been employed for the past 18 years with the Miami-Dade County Public Works Department. In his first position with Miami-Dade, he managed toll facilities and later, Mike was promoted as an administrator in the County’s Road, Bridge, and Canal Maintenance Division. In 2002, he returned to the County’s Causeways Division as the Division Chief where he oversees a workforce of 70 employees and annual revenues of over $9 million at the Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeways.
He and his wife Carmen have been married for 25 years. They have one son and live in Hollywood, Florida. Besides South Florida, Mike has lived in Illinois; the Twin Cities of Minnesota; St. Louis; the Caribbean Island of Margarita; and Venezuela.
