  • Michelle has several years of experience in all aspects of construction, including contract negotiation, contract administration, claims, and alternative dispute resolution. Project types include, but are not limited to, public transportation, underground utility, entertainment complex, hotels, condominium, large scale residential, and public schools.
  • In addition to various speaking events, Michelle also published the following articles: Battle of the Associations' Forms: AGC v. AIA, Construct!, Spring 2003, co-authored by Richard Lowe, and So, What Are Your Damages?, Construct! Summer 2003.
  • Association membership and activity includes: Associated General Contractors of Greater Florida (AGC), Director (2004-present); The Florida Bar Construction Law Committee, Vice Chair (2003-2005), Chair (2005-2007); National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), (1999-present); American Bar Association (ABA), (1996-present): Forum on the Construction Industry and Construction Litigation Committee, (Co-Chair, Experts Committee); Thomas M. Cooley Law School Florida Alumni Association, Founder and Past President.
  • Prior to joining Trauner, Michelle was an attorney in Florida. Her practice was limited to complex construction litigation. Her representation has included Owners, Contractors, Design Professionals, Public Entities, including Cities and School Boards, Subcontractors, and Developers. Projects values have exceeded $130 Million, and claims have exceeded $36 Million.
